Old School

well wouldn't it be interesting to make old school snacks a wedding favour especially if you or your partner were one of those born in the 80s who religiously saved up not dollars, but many cents to get your hands on a box of tora.

my sister just told me of this void deck shop which stocks a wide range of old school snacks at whompoa. there's another one near the haig road market too. there are probably these stores in every heartland void deck, the quest however is to find the biggest and the best!

Wedding at Bedok Reservoir

firstly, not many pictures because we re-used last week's design. essentially, the color scheme and props were similar and as mentioned in the post before this, we used brown table covers instead of white.

it's been a tiring week altogether both physically and mentally demanding! thank goodness (really) for the extra day off =)

Platinum Part II

a similar dais and color scheme as last week's wedding except we opted for a bolder ambience and used brown table covers instead. more pics will be up =)

i pray for the day wedding guests learn to dine cleanly so we can all do away with hideous plastic covers! seriously people, do we all eat like that at home?

a gift exchange set consisting of 10 items were placed on maroon silk boards with cymbidiums. a matching pink cymbidium bridal bouquet was also required by our client. apologies for the last minute photography by the mother - this weekend was a tad too hectic with various orders!

apologies for the late uploads, i have no idea where the week went - its already thursday night i.e. tmr's Friday!!! so these are the pictures from last weekend's wedding all the way in the westside. again, i'm short of time these days coming home from work completely wiped so no color/inspiration palette to create. the colors we worked with were very much different from the previous 2 weddings - shades of platinum, dark grey, silver and gold. pearls were featured as well!

we went completely white with the flowers! 540 stalks of roses were used in total!

standing out, the bridal table was draped in dark platinum crushed velvet and adorned with decorative accents in silver

gold swans/flamingoes with white rose bodies posed as the backdrop

a hydrangea arrangement was created for the buffet area

platinum drapes flanked the buffet area. last minute requests from the caterers forced us to completely alter the area layout. this was highly unfortunate as the new layout killed any chance of making the place look cosy. please ignore those red tumblers in the background - not ours!

this was one side of the MPH. we hung drapes around the hall...

details! the bride was fond of pearls so we thought we'd add this detail to every guest chair!

baby's breath tied to our grey lanterns for the aisle

and finally the dais - our brand new dais for 2009...central to the whole design is a large french frame hung against a platinum silk screen detailed with large white pearls strung on organza ribbon. a baby's breath wreath was added for more dimension. topiaries of roses and daisies in silver pots completed the whole look
