Night Festival

kicking off a host of events to be held at the national museum this july was the night festival! it's happening over 2 weekends and the next one will be co hosted with Zouk (The Beatnik Picnic). last night's performance was by the internationally acclaimed Studio Festi from Italy. the stage spanned from the stamford green to smu's campus green. classical european music blasted aloud as the audience were treated to dances involving various elements - fire, water & air.

love these floating spheres

campus green on fire!

the tall & sweaty crowd crammed within these 2 areas forced me up to SMU's SIS building 2nd floor. although our view was slightly blocked by a pillar and trees afterwards, at least - i could breathe ; )

alright so other interesting exhibitions which i am super keen to attend are...

  • Weapons of Mass Desire: Design & Consumption in the Aftermath of WWII. 28 Aug-16 Nov, The Canyon, Basement (Free Admission)

  • Life & Living [Food and Culture Series Workshops!]: Democratisation of Tea and Understanding Chocolate: Your Deepest, Darkest Desire. 16 Aug & 29 Aug, SGD15 & SGD40 respectively.

  • National Museum Cinémathéque - various films like Hairspray (yes diana), Mel Stuart's Willy Wonka - not Tim Burton's and West Side Story (!!!).

Let's go =)
