Sarah & Mohib's Wedding

After designing and setting up events over the years, we thought this is one event we would like to sit back and enjoy. Furthermore, this would be the last wedding within the family as Sarah is the youngest of us three. So we picked a hotel, selected a menu, checked out the favors and we were going to leave it to the professionals so we could simply turn up for the event and soak up the moment without lifting a finger. Or so we thought.........

First, it was the dais

French chinois style

Then the floral centerpieces with mock ups!
(I think there were about 116 floral jars we prepared)

fresh blooms arranged in apothecary jars

And the crowd stopper (literally).....
The Chocolate Bar

Sarah & Mohib decided it should be a display that features their favorite chocolates from childhood till now. Some of us may recognize the familiar names which we pooled locally and from other parts of the world. Enjoy!

After all that, a quick shot before she makes her entrance for the solemnization.

And so, another truly unforgettable day at TWC.........
Congratulations Sarah & Mohib

Cocoa Tree Invasion Beckons

smarties and peanut m&m's are my childhood faves - the cheap classics i call 'em. cocoa + nostalgia. then i could go on to two types of ferrero roche, the originals and noir which are best eaten chilled. but life's never complete without lindt lindors - i love all the flavours but my favourite would be the hazelnut or milk chocolate lindors. neuhaus serves as good cocoa therapy too...i love their cocoa-coffee mix shaped as coffee beans. it was a staple along our european drives from belgium to germany. and there was once i bought a few bars of fauchon chocolate in milk and dark variations. i opened them in my paris hotel room to just 'have a bite while channel surfing...well it disappeared from my hand in less than 5 minutes. for more sophisticated chocolate but not necessarily sophisticated consumption style - laduree dark chocolate 'slices' are heavenly. you wouldn't even care about their shop decor after stuffing your mouth with these! that's how good it was. and then coming back down to earth for good ol' suisse chocs, major supermarket chain co-op sells some damn good in-house brand chocs like branche and minor - both hazelnut based chocolates. nuts and/or praline with milk/dark chocolate are killer combis.

i need help with this addiction.
