by here i mean, Singapore. our sunny island that has long been deprived of luxurious letterpress! you read it right!

i was extremely thrilled to receive an email from Emily (founder and creative director of PTP) who by the way is oh-so-nuts over PAPER which we can totally relate to! so naturally we were over the moon to learn that she brought in the whole works i.e. antique letterpress printing machine + the necessary peripherals to start this letterpress printing business.

i hope to discover more vendors in Singapore possessing amazing and infectious passion for their craft and hopefully create a list long enough to place at my sidebar haha!

michelle rago, a renowned wedding planner has just launched an online styleboard service which means, from anywhere around the world, you can get her to help you style your wedding. the service fees begin from 450USD i believe.

hmm, interesting to see how this kicks off...we'll probably see more of the same available from other renowned wedding planners out there!

Google Gets Planning

template weddings maybe undesirable but template planners would be of great help for your wedding! google has teamed up with Michelle Rago and Style Me Pretty offering a range of wedding planning templates created out of excel and word to help busy brides manage their event.

our tip: what's your wedding going to look like? before settling on the little details like thinking how your invitation might look like, your bridal bouquet design or even the color schemes to settle on, we'll usually ask you first, how do you envision your wedding to be? put on hold the web surfing as those million ideas you come across may unnecessarily overwhelm your thoughts. once you have a clearer idea of the feel & concept you want only then would it be more resourceful to look around for ideas online and offline that can match your concept. plus there'll be more focus when developing your idea/inspiration board =)

although highly thematic weddings can be all exciting for guests, remember your wedding is a WEDDING after all, NOT a costume party. for your amusement, here were some weddings that became the latter!

i recently received an enquiry regarding my wedding planning & consultancy service. the caller wondered if i offered planning services not as a whole but a la carte i.e. hire me to develop a timeline and manage your overseas guests for you only for example. well no, i don't.

why? event design is our core service. our planning & consultancy service was developed for clients who (a) are super picky about visual harmonization of the entire wedding and (b) have absolutely no time or (c) those who just want to get their hands on our pretty wedding kit, okay i was kidding about (c) but it could happen ;) haha!

this looks exciting - a pretty much comprehensive tool for planning your wedding.

but if you're still too busy or too meticulous, wedding planners exist and charge a consultancy/planning fee starting from SGD800 to as high as SGD6000 depending on the size of your event. the services rendered for this fee usually include:
