Bridal Bouquet

the recipient of those peonies in the previous post was the bride who held this bouquet! i'm really hoping we get another good round of floral harvests for this weekend's wedding projects!

Lotteries & Peonies

two years ago, we were generously gifted a few peony buds by a gardener before we drove to another town while holidaying. we dumped it in a small cup of water and by the time we reached our next hotel, it bloomed so big it covered my face. in singapore, receiving peony buds is like receiving a lottery ticket. the odds of that peony blooming and that ticket winning the lottery are the same.

so last weekend, we struck lottery. it felt that way anyway. i'm still clueless as to how to make peony buds bloom all the time but to prolong the life of imported flowers, it has to be in an air-conditioned environment 24/7. its been a week here at my apartment with all the flowers bought last week and they are still in bloom.

perfect.

October Informational Session: Flowers

no flowers no wedding. period. okay kidding ;) we can't be too harsh but flowers appear almost every where on your wedding day. guest tables, in your hand, on the car and even the groom's got a boutonniere!

therefore defining the floral concept of an event is a big part the conceptualization process. it creates the ambience you desire and enhances the colors around it. for this info session - we created autumn inspired arrangements in 3 sizes. we also featured a bridal bouquet with flowing phalaenopsis.

please email us if you wish to learn more of our floral services. to see our floral designs, you may explore the our flowers and event design labelled posts.

didn't get a good shot of this, pictures were taken days later and the wilting flowers lost the shape of the bouquet ;(

a hazy weekend it'll be...but have a good one nonetheless!

Pause Button

the mad rush has sort of ended - we take a 1.5 month break from projects (yeay!) the coming weeks will be filled with client meetings (i think we owe a fair bunch of people out there proposals) and also waiting for some external vendors to return mails and calls!

anyways, in short, so many things - significant things which will define the coming months ahead occurred in recent days. so i'm hoping to post some good news here soon!

i shall leave you with pretty hyacinths we utilized for a mini project today. beautiful aren't they?

Tangerine Noir

a couple of weeks ago, my sister prepared a set of gifts to be exchanged at an engagement ceremony. the bride requested the use of orange and black.

raw material like gunny were used to wrap the baseboards for the gift sets to rest on. to complement the tangerine silks and black velvet ribbons, each board was adorned with a floral arrangement made of either beautiful russet calla lilies, baby tiger lilies and an assortment of wild berries and blooms.

The Giant Red Peony

apologies for the mini blog-hiatus. we've been struggling to get through one of the busiest periods of our lives of late! it's been quite a juggle this past week to be honest. well amidst the chaos, we can't help but notice this giant of a peony which can pretty much cover your entire face!

flowers and simply more flowers flooded our porch over the long weekend. we had plenty of orders for bridesmaid bouquets (yes, the giant peonies were for some lucky bridesmaids), bridal bouquets, floral wreaths, boutonnieres, corsages, unity candles, table centrepieces and other central arrangements.

anyways, we can't wait to share with you the highlight of our weekend wedding projects! next post ;)

Build Me Up Buttercup

ranunculus asiaticus or the persian buttercup is a commonly used species of the ranunculaceae family. a luxurious addition to any floral arrangement, these sweet little things can be found on bridal bouquets and table centrepieces. a late spring to early summer bloom, you can get them in various hues of white, yellow, pink, orange and pink!

i can stare at them all day. anyways, in our bridal bouquet below, these white persian buttercups were grouped with freesias and peonies (both white and pink).

charges for bridal bouquets begin at S$150
pricing for other floral arrangements can be found on our website
