two years ago, we were generously gifted a few peony buds by a gardener before we drove to another town while holidaying. we dumped it in a small cup of water and by the time we reached our next hotel, it bloomed so big it covered my face. in singapore, receiving peony buds is like receiving a lottery ticket. the odds of that peony blooming and that ticket winning the lottery are the same.
so last weekend, we struck lottery. it felt that way anyway. i'm still clueless as to how to make peony buds bloom all the time but to prolong the life of imported flowers, it has to be in an air-conditioned environment 24/7. its been a week here at my apartment with all the flowers bought last week and they are still in bloom.

i agree! k bought for me peonies and ALLLL of them bloomed perfectlyy and theyre still alive now even after 5 days. my grandma thought it was fake and kept poking it. haha.
ReplyDeleteanyways this florist i met at FEF told me to put them in ice water if you cant put it in air conditioned room so thats what ive been doing.

the harvests for the last 2 weeks have been excellent! perhaps the peak of summer weather in the southern hemisphere.
